What a snowstorm we just received! The hills are covered with a beautiful, clean, blanket of
snow. As the sun hits it just right, a glistening sparkle catches the eye. Everything looks clean,
crisp, white and new.
Take a moment to think and remember what is underneath that snow. This winter season we
had a lot of rain and above normal temperatures. Therefore, we had a lot of mud and dirt
which was unpleasant to the eye.
That is the way it is with our spiritual walk sometimes. If we allow sin to enter, it can make a
muddy, dirty, unpleasant mess that can affect our lives or relationships. But there is hope! God
is a good, loving and forgiving God! All we need to do is ask His forgiveness and keep our eyes
focused on Him. He covers those sins with His forgiveness which is as clean and white as the
new fallen snow.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they
shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” ~Isaiah 1:18
