Meet Our 2017 Summer Staff

Our 2016 summer was a year of restoration for many and we had such a wonderful time with all the people God blessed us with! We all are so excited to begin our 2017 season and wanted to take some time to introduce you to our 2017 Summer Counselors!

Rebecca E.

Rebecca Epler is joining us from Cambridge, Ohio. She is a full-time college student at Muskingum University, majoring in Public Administration and Animal Studies. She is looking forward to bringing the children closer to God while having fun, along with a personal goal of strengthening her own relationship with God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Gwyneth N.

Gwyneth, a native of Lewis Center, OH, will be a part of the summer staff for the first time in 2017. She is a Health Science major at Marietta College and has some previous counseling experience. She is most looking forward to having the opportunity to reconnect with God. Gwyneth's goal for this summer is to get into a routine where God is a part of every morning and every night and, hopefully, every moment in between.

I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:13

Mary H.

Mary will be a member of the summer staff for the second time, this year. She is from Scio, Ohio, but attends Grace College, majoring in Elementary Special Education.  Mary is looking forward to reuniting with her past campers as well as meeting new ones.

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8

Megan H.

Megan is joining us from Coldwater, Michigan for her first summer at Faith Ranch. However, Megan worked at Camp Selah in Reading, MI for two summers. She is attending Grace College and Theological Seminary, majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Megan is looking forward to meeting new people, growing in my faith, and gaining more knowledge about horses as well as developing relationships with staff and campers that last beyond the summer months.

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

Megan K.

From Carrollton Ohio, Megan will be spending the summer at Faith Ranch.

She has experience lifeguarding and with working with youth groups. Megan is looking forward to helping the children come to know God and learn about His Word in fun and exciting ways. Her biggest goal for this summer is to grow closer to God and help the children to grow alongside her.

"For I know the plans i have for you" declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

For the second summer, Phillip is joining us from Andover, Ohio. He attends Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania and is working toward a degree in Religion, Theology/Youth Ministry. Phillip is looking forward to meeting new people and seeing old friends. His biggest goal is to grow stronger in faith, as faith has no limits; as well as helping others with their own.

Now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13

After quite a few years as a camper, herself, Natalie will serve as a member of the summer staff for her second summer. She is from West Chester, Ohio and is enrolled at Sinclair Community College, but has not yet decided on a major. She has previous experience counseling in day camps as well as horseback riding. Natalie is excited to make new friends and lasting memories, and to have the opportunity to minister to campers and work for the kingdom of God. Her goal for the summer is to have a positive impact in the life of at least one camper, and to show God's light and love in everything she does while also improving her horsemanship skills.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
