Our mission is to model and encourage a Christ-centered life in a ranch setting; and to build mentoring relationship by using recreation and ranch activities as tools to aid in sharing Jesus Christ, His Love, and His Word with our guests.

Faith Ranch Statement of Faith
We Believe In:

  • The divine character of the triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • The Bible to be the infallible Word of God.
  • The Deity of the virgin birth of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
  • The necessity of the new birth in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ who shed His blood, was crucified, buried and resurrected for us on the third day according to scriptures.
  • The power of the Holy Spirit living in the believer, and the importance of a life committed to the will of God in Christ.

HISTORY

In November of 1972, Bill and Phyllis Wiley signed a purchase agreement for what would become Faith Ranch.

Phyllis is originally from Jewett, and the Wileys felt the Lord leading them to start an additional ministry. They had begun Marmon Valley Farm in Zanesfield, Ohio, just eight years earlier and stepped out in faith to begin a second ministry.

When Bill and Phyllis signed the purchase agreement, they had only $200 in the bank. They believed that God had asked them to purchase this land and use it as a Christian camp and retreat center.

Summer camp began in 1973/1974 and Deb Langell arrived as the Resident Director in 1976. She remained in that position until 1980 when Ken and Dee Heil arrived and Ken filled that position.

Uncle Bill, as many know him, moved to Faith Ranch as resident director in 1984 when he turned over the reins at Marmon Valley Farm to his children, Matt and Jane.

Over the years, the ministry grew and in addition to summer camps, the Ranch was able to offer guest groups, pastors, and families a place for retreat.

In 2002, the mortgage was paid in full and a copy was burned at the annual Ride-a-thon fundraiser! 2012 brought the 40th Anniversary of Faith Ranch's beginnings; and now in 2022 have celebrated 50 wonderful years of ministry. God has been good and continues to bless the ministry that He started in Bill and Phyllis' hearts so many years ago.
